Valentine's Day Cards

Hi all

I set myself a little challenge to make a couple of valentines day cards without
using black or red :)

I scored the first card blank with single lines to create a frame.

Then I used my mini heart punch. I think this is my absolute favourite punch of the moment, it's so cute! I love the new design punches SU too, they are so much easier to store, which means you can have more of them.... :)

The first card is a simple geometric style, with different coloured hearts arranged using dimensionals straight onto the card base. I used the "now&forever" stamp from the Occasional Greetings stamp set.

For the second, I scored double lines for the frame, then punched lemon and pink hearts and glued them on so they so they were "tumbling" in the frame.

I cut two slices each side of the frame and threaded through some Whisper White Organza ribbon (my absolute favourite!!) and tied a bow in the front

I think it could do with a sentiment at the bottom but I don't have anything linear enough, I might get brave and hand-write something, I doubt it though :)

Bank Holiday Greetings!

Hello everyone :)

I have had a really nice Bank Holiday weekend, I have been busily making some cards to swell my stash a little. I am particularly enamoured with a stamp set that I got in my latest Stampin' Up! haul, it's called Choo Choo and of course, features a sweet little train.

I partnered it up with some kraft cardstock and some nice strong primary colours.

These are three I made, all variations on a key design.

Supplies:
Choo Choo (113982) £14.95
Kraft Cardstock (117360) £5.95
Bold Brights Cardstock (109892) £6.75

My Pink Stamper Challenge Card - Pink, Green & Black

This is the card I made for the My Pink Stamper Challenge

Wish me luck, I am DESPERATE to get the Create a Critter cart :)

This cut is from Indie Art. The rose is cut with glitter cardstock from DCWV. The ribbon is sparkly satin from American Crafts.

Spring has sprung!!

I was a little nervous about posting this card in case I opened the door tomorrow morning to a blizzard!

However, I really think that spring has, at last, sprung :) This card is for the April Lily-Boo challenge which is for yellow and greens and spring colours :) I also added a lovely blue sky, which we've had a few of this last week!

The image is from the Lily-Boo's Boutique Circles collection 5 set which can be found here and it's a REALLY versatile set that I think pairs brilliantly with the round scallop nesties :)
