Birthday Card

Hi folks.

For the last post of 2011 I want to share the birthday card I just made for my aunt.  It's a little late (she's known me my whole life - it won't surprise her!).

I coloured Louie from Digistamp Boutique using promarkers, using the "round and round" technique which makes him look fluffy.  He is matted on baja breeze SU cardstock and finished off with some sunny yellow ribbon from Papertreyink.  [edit - I am aware I forgot to colour in his other hand!!  now remedied :)]

My Mum's Mothers Day card!

I really enjoyed making this, I have a real thing about bunting at the moment so I knew that Mums card would probably have it on :)

It was really simply paper pieced using SU Designer Paper, a couple of buttons and some crochet string :)

Mothers Day Cards :)

Greetings Bloglanders, I hope you are all doing well.  I just wanted to share a couple of cards that I have made over the past few days.  I am really into stamping directly onto my card base at the moment (which I am sure you will agree is incredibly brave of me!!)
P.S.  Don't show my mum!!

New Home Card

Hi folks

This is actually the 2nd of this design that I have made but I needed the 1st in a hurry and didn't get a chance to take a picture.

I haven't made a pedestal card in a while, I should really try to make one that is a different shape (Lou, expect some plaintive IM's asking you what the heck I should be doing :)

This is a cute Digistamp Boutique digi, coloured using ProMarkers and matted onto Stampin' Up! DSP.

Miiiiike Wazowski!!!

So I made this card this morning for my lovely Nephew whose is 6 on the 17th, which makes me feel far too old!!!

I Cricut a lot and SU cardstock is my favourite to cut. It is great quality, doesn't tear or snag in the machine and you can match most of the colours REALLY well with Disney/Pixar which I enjoy cutting.

Pear Pizazz is absolutely the best colour for Mike, I used Basic Black for the base, Sahara Sand for his horns and nails, Whisper white for his eye and teeth and Soft Suede for his tongue. Baha Breeze (my absolute favourite colour) was perfect for his eye and I brought out more of the colour using Baha Breeze for the background and Baha Breeze DSP for an accent.

I find matching fifty times easier since SU released the Colour Coach in the latest catalogue, mine is already well loved :) I use it most days!

I finished my card :)

Hi :)

I finished my card! I'm really happy with it too!

I had aleady made my card base, (complete with eyelets! Look at my eyelets!) but wanted a larger image on it than it would have conventionally have taken, so I just popped the top out!

I LOVE this image and I LOVE how my colouring turns out with letraset ProMarkers!

Red, White and Blue Card Challenge

I actually had fun with this. The ladies on the UK thread of the Cricut MB had another card challenge this week. As you will know I recently bought a batch of Bellas, so I wanted to use one on this card. I would NEVER usually use these colours on a card so I am really really pleased that this pushed me to use a less familiar palette. I'm very happy with the results, I just added a little organza ribbon to soften the edges as all the colours are so strong.
