Spring has sprung!!

I was a little nervous about posting this card in case I opened the door tomorrow morning to a blizzard!

However, I really think that spring has, at last, sprung :) This card is for the April Lily-Boo challenge which is for yellow and greens and spring colours :) I also added a lovely blue sky, which we've had a few of this last week!

The image is from the Lily-Boo's Boutique Circles collection 5 set which can be found here and it's a REALLY versatile set that I think pairs brilliantly with the round scallop nesties :)

Do you need a card idea for a muddy child?

Well I made this today :) I like it, it would be perfect for any muddy child you know :D

He is from the Lily-Boo's Boutique Toddler collection which can be found here. Or you can just click the blinkylinky to the right to go and have a browse :)

My muddy child was coloured using promarkers and the background papers are cosmo cricket.

Easter Card :)

Hi :)

Another pedestal card. This was an order for a friend and i'm so pleased with how it came out. Just as an aside, use your promarkers on pearly card, the effect is absolutely stunning!

Well done to Lou for spotting the top left hand duck nibbling on the ribbon :)

And here's the birthday cards that I made for my mum and my boyfriends mum this year :)

Some other cardy goodness.

Here are some other creations i've been making over the last few weeks....

Happy Mothers Day to all you crafty mums out there :)

Hi all

Hopefully by now you'll all have finished your Mother's Day cards. I ended up with about 15 to do, which obviously starts to get tricky, when you consider 11 of those will end up in the same family, so you can't make them in bulk!

Here's one I made.. really pleased with it. It's a pre-bought card blank with embossed edges and is 8" by 8", bigger than I would usually make, but it came out really nicely (by the way, I know the card says "Mom" but that's what mums are called in Birmingham :) This card, I made for my friend Joy to give to her 'Mom' :)

March!

I can't believe it's March already. I know I've been useless at updating my blog but that's simply because I haven't had much to say really. We had a lot of snow, Cadbury was taken over by Kraft, that's been it really!!

I have been tending to post my cards on Facebook, so I'm going to try and make a concerted effort to post them here instead, or at least as well as :)

Well blogees, I hope all is well with you.

3rd Tilda Card

The design brief was "Cute but Plain please" so I think I nailed it!

Gonna Miss you a Latte!

I made this "Gonna miss you" card for a colleague that left a few weeks ago (who is now back as a temp!!) Made with mocha, caramel and pale bronze cardstocks, I was going for a coffee-and-cream thing.

Dopey Birthday Card

Some might think it's a wee bit risky to send a "Dopey" Birthday card to your dad.. but I trusted he would take it for the good-hearted ribbing that it is :) He LOVED it, by the way :) Might seem a little plain for some of you but its how my dad likes em :)

Another Tilda Card

People who know me know that I don't use muted colours like this :) I'm all about bright and cheery! I do love this one though, really soft beiges and greens and my favourite (today) Tilda image :)

Tilda Card!

The picture of this one is a little bright but I am so happy with her :) I am personally very proud of my button and ribbon cherries!!

I finished my card :)

Hi :)

I finished my card! I'm really happy with it too!

I had aleady made my card base, (complete with eyelets! Look at my eyelets!) but wanted a larger image on it than it would have conventionally have taken, so I just popped the top out!

I LOVE this image and I LOVE how my colouring turns out with letraset ProMarkers!

Sunday Laziness!

Hi :)

I am usually really really bad at blogging, so i'm going to make a concerted effort to post more :)

I haven't made anything very much at all lately. I recently started a new job and it is INSANELY busy all day long, which is nice in as far that the days go fast, but it leaves me completely drained at the end of the day, so after I have made dinner and washed the dishes I basically want to put down roots somewhere and not move :)

I went out yesterday though and ended up in a Ryman stationers. They usually have a small selection of crafty stuff (all at premium prices, obviously) I noticed that they had some fiskars eyelet things. So I bought a couple of packs of mixed size eyelets and the pack of three eyelet setters. MAN these things are NOISY!!!!!!! They are basically two heavy bits at each end, joined by a spring so when you pull one up, you drop it down and it either punches you a hole or sets the eyelet. I can certainly see the benefits of the crop-a-dile if you craft late at night :)

Anyway, I just made a card base and put two eyelets in, it looks cute :)

I am going to finish it off today and will come back and post a picture later :)

I hope you have a great Sunday.
